Forster Tuncurry Community Kitchen

The Forster Tuncurry Community Kitchen are an essential service who support vulnerable people in the community. Located in the Parish Hall at 33 Lake St Forster, they provide free and nutritious meals from 12:30 till 1pm each Wednesday and Thursday. Please call 6539 5900 for any further information.

Knit a thon

A nationwide 'Knit-a-thon is being held until May 31st to proudly support the Life's Little Treasures foundation who provide resources and support to families of premature and sick babies. Organisers are seeking knitters of all skill levels to register asap to make a tangible difference to the lives of these children. Wallis Lake Tourers Travel Club

The Wallis Lake Tourers Travel Club have their next monthly meeting on Tuesday the 11th of May in the Tuncurry Memorial Hall, Point Street Tuncurry at 10am. Junior Basketball

Come on down to Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre at Forster for the new season of Junior Basketball. Sessions run for an hour. High School age is on Tuesday's from 4:30. Ages 2 to 4 are on Wednesdays from 3:30, and ages 5 to 6 are also Wednesdays from 5:30. Bookings are essential. For more information please call the Y on 6555 4617.

Karuah & Great Lakes Landcare, Manning Landcare and MidCoast Council are holding a series of workshops to help landholders get on top of the rampant weed problems after a hard period of drought followed by good rain. Held at Coopernook on 13 May and Barrington on 14 May, both starting at 9am, they will address threats from Long-Leaf Primrose, African Olive, Groundsel Bush and Cats Claw Creeeper as well as chronic pests such as pasture weeds.
