Ron 'Carpo' Carpenter

I was born in western New South Wales where I spent my childhood. After leaving school I joined the then NSW Government Railways, as did most country kids except those who lived on the land. In my mid twenties I moved to Sydney on a transfer, where I met my wife Carmel.

I retired after 40 years service with the Railways and moved to Coffs Harbour for a period. Whilst in Coffs I took up volunteering in numerous areas, one of which was at the local community radio as an on air presenter.

I have recently moved to the great area of Forster/Tuncurry, and so to Great Lakes FM 101.5. I present the kind of music I like; Easy Listening, Pop and Rock from the 60's to the 90's with perhaps some 50's.
